By plane

Milan is served by three international airports:

Malpensa Airport MXP

Milano Malpensa MXP — 50km from city center, around 1h by train or bus
After arrival:

  • Take the Malpensa Express train toward either “Milano Cadorna” or “Milano Centrale”
  • Then take metro M2 to “Lambrate”

Linate Airport LIN

Milano Linate LIN — 7km from city center, around 20-30 minutes by bus
After arrival:

  • Take bus 73 toward “Duomo M1 M3” for 8 stops (hop off at “Campania/Corsica”).
  • Then take bus 93 toward “Lambrate” for 9 stops (hop off at “Bassini/Golgi”).

Orio al Serio Airport BGY

Milano-Bergamo Orio al Serio BGY — 52km from city center, around 70 minutes by bus
After arrival:

  • Take the bus to “Milano Centrale Railway Station”
  • Then take metro M2 to “Lambrate M2”

By train

The most important railway station for international connections are Milano Centrale and Milano Porta Garibaldi (both are in the city center)
